The SHAN Nº5 is our new full-suspension frame, entirely constructed from 4130 MCS CrMo steel. This is bicycle versatility at its best! A trip up into the mountains? A ride out with your friends? A weekend playing in your favorite bike park? How about a round in your local Enduro race? The SHAN N°5 can do all of that, easily excelling in each domain, for as long as you can ride!
We’ve fully exploited our experience and expertise acquired since 2011 with our enduro hardtail range to develop this ultra-versatile bike. We wanted the SHAN N°5 to be an excellent performer, to be fun, simple, reliable, and with maintenance reduced to a strict minimum.
The frame includes: seat clamp, headset, rear axle, and chainstay protector.
Features
4130 CRMO MCS CHASSIS
Steel is a magical material with impeccable strength and very high levels of elasticity and fatigue resistance. That's why we decided to go with the 4130 CrMo MCS steel for our chassis. When used on a bike, incredibly high levels of tolerance and grip are obtained compared to an alloy or carbon chassis.
R.KTP SUSPENSION OPTIMISATION
The SHAN Nº5’s R.KTP suspension has been developed across 2 areas:
A single-pivot suspension system reduces maintenance to a bare minimum. Suspension can therefore be adjusted for sensitivity from the start and ensuring that 100% of the available travel is used without bottoming out. Lateral constraints are isolated from the shock, ensuring optimal cornering sensitivity and function.
CHASSIS AND TRAVEL
The SHAN N°5 has 140mm of suspension travel and it is the culmination of our work on optimization of chassis and geometry. This travel was not chosen just to meet the criteria of a specific category, but purely as a way of extracting the maximum amount of pleasure and performance out of the SHAN N°5!
ICONIC INSPIRATION
As every Production Privée frame, this frame has a two tones paint scheme, 100% made by hand, inspiring by the most iconic sports car of all times.
