Welcome to the band! Harry Barrett Joins Production Privée

At Production Privée, music has always been part of the process. It fills the workshop, gets us fired up for the next ride, and occasionally helps us survive those inevitable video calls.
The bands we listen to usually have something in common, too. They aren't manufactured. They weren't assembled in boardrooms or built to follow a formula. They started the way the best bands do—organically. A shared love of music, the instruments that make it happen, and a spirit of creativity that brings the whole thing together.
In a way, that's how things work here too.

Not everyone at Production Privée can play a guitar... though Damien, the founder of PP, seems pretty sure he’s the exception. Still, we’re all part of the band, designers, riders, engineers, storytellers—everyone adding their part, all driven by the same simple goal: build great bikes and hit the trail as often as we can.
And every now and then, someone new joins the band.
Originally from the UK but now based in Whistler, we're stoked to add Harry Barrett to the line-up. Harry is one of those riders we've admired for a long time and having him join the Production Privée crew is unreal.

Harry will be riding the Ridecaster Shan Nº5, a bike that brings the music analogy full circle. Its paintwork takes inspiration from classic Fender guitar designs—bold colours, timeless lines, and just a little nod to Spinal Tap. A fitting instrument for someone who spends most of his time chasing new trails and good times.
For Harry, the first ride on the Shan Nº5 left a strong impression.
"I was pretty stoked to get hold of my Shan Nº5. It's a size medium with 140mm travel. I've been itching to get back on a short-travel bike again, and I'd never ridden a steel frame before, but I'd heard good things about them—safe to say it didn't disappoint.
I took the Shan Nº5 out for the first time and couldn't believe how fun and playful it is. It absolutely rips in the corners. I had a smile on my face all day."
Looking ahead, Harry's plans for the year are refreshingly simple: ride more, explore more, and see more of what BC has to offer.
"My plans for this year are to do more exploring all over BC. I've only really scratched the surface here, so I'm looking forward to getting out there for more big bike missions and plenty of alpine trail rides.
I'll do one or two races this season, but I'm not chasing that as hard anymore. It's time for me to get more time in the saddle and meet and experience new people and places."
Welcome to Production Privée, Harry.
